OceanView Catering used to provide buffets for weddings, parties and corporate events. We no longer offer a buffet service. Instead, we bring hot, freshly cooked food to your venue from our catering van.
Where we started
Our buffet service
Our buffets were a popular choice for weddings, parties, christenings and work events across Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire and Nottinghamshire.
A typical spread included filled rolls, sandwiches and wraps, sausage rolls, cheese and onion rolls, pork pie, quiche, scotch eggs, chicken goujons, breadsticks, dips and crisps. Salads, platters and desserts could be added as extras.

What changed
Why we moved from buffets to hot food
Due to our expanding menus, including loaded fries and gourmet burgers, OceanView Catering has moved in the direction of menu items which can be provided by our state-of-the-art catering vehicle.
Instead of platters laid out on a table, your guests get a hot meal cooked fresh at your venue and served straight from the hatch.
Cooked at your venue
We arrive at your venue ready to cook, then serve your guests hot, freshly cooked food.
Quick to serve
We can serve more than 150 guests an hour, so nobody waits long for their food.
Dietary needs covered
Our chicken, steak and fish options are Halal, our veggie burger is suitable for vegans and we have gluten free options on request.

The top score under the Food Standards Agency scheme.
Our menus
Three hot food menus to choose from
Choose Option 1, Option 2 or Option 3 for your event. Your guests then choose their meal from that menu at the van.
Option 1
Fish and Chip Van
£12 per person
Footlong fish fresh from Grimsby, sausage, fishcake and more, all served with chips and a choice of peas, curry or gravy.
Option 2
Loaded Fries
£10 per person
Crispy fries finished with melted cheese and a choice of 3 toppings, from Thai sweet chilli chicken to katsu chicken curry.
Option 3
Gourmet Burgers
£12 per person
Steak, chicken breast fillet or veggie burgers with a choice of toppings, served with salad, fries and homemade onion rings.
A £50 booking fee secures the date and a £650 minimum spend applies on the day.
